CX- Programmer as Source Generator

1 - Build a project in Omron's CX-Programmer and upload it to a PLC.

If you are a PLC systems integrator or programmer you already know how to do that. Otherwise, do not worry, you probably simply want to display values from an existing running PLC, which means that this step is already done!. Just ask who did the program to complete step 2 for you and you will be done for 1 and 2.

2 - Export variables to a CX-Programmer reusable file (*.cxr)

From within CX-Programmer, export variables to a Reusable symbols file with cxr extension. To do this choose Reusable File->Save As in mouse right click menu over the selected symbols.

3 - Import the file created in step 2 into ScadaMobile.

Launch ScadaMobile and go to the Files tab and start the file server. Point your PC's Web browser to the indicated IP address. Upload the file created in 2 into your iPhone's ScadaMobile application.

4 - Set up communication settings in ScadaMobile.
If you did not it already in step 1, tell ScadaMobile where the PLC will be found. Just enter its local or remote network IP address and port.
5 - Monitor process variable states and values from anywhere.

That's it. You should be now monitoring your process. ScadaMobile supports both landscape and portrait modes.

Lite will update 4 tags

Bon Jour Jean-Pierre. Both are identical except that Lite Version will only communicate with 4 Tags whereas full version has unlimited tags. Previous versions of Lite did not show more than 4 tags. From Version 1.3, ScadaMobile Lite will present the whole list of source tags, but will update only 4. This has been done to make easier to evaluate the App in a more appropriate way.
